My very first visit to Puerto Rico was in August 1951 for the First Caribbean Arts Festival which was held on the campus of UPR ad organized by Lisa Lekis. Twenty Caribbean countries participated. I was with a group of 15 dancers, singers, musicians and steel pan players which represented Trinidad & Tobago.

Seven entertainers from Trinidad known as the Geoffrey Holder Theatrical Group were invited to return under contract with the Caribe Hilton Hotel which opened in 1949 as the first Hilton International Hotel, to perform over the Christmas and New Year Holidays.  The group was spotted at the Caribe Hilton by a talent agent for Sol Hurok, an internationally renowned tmpressario. and was contracted to perform at Carnegie Hall in 1952. Broadway performances followed in Truman Capote's musical extravaganza "House of Flowers." from 1954-55 with music by Harold Arlen.

I was married in New York in1955 relocated to St.Thomas in 1956, hired by British West Indian Airways in May 1957 and sent to London later that year for airline management training with British Overseas Airways Corporation and returned to the island to manage BWIA. Seven years later in 1964 was hired by Puerto Rico based Caribbean Atlantic Airlines as assistant to president, Dionisio Trigo, and was invited to become a member of the Skal Club of Puerto Rico by Fredertck Dieterle, manager of the Condado Beach Hotel and later promoted to vice president-marketing of Caribair.

On July 1, 1970 was hired by Delta Air Lines and appointed Caribbean Sales Director and represented Delta on the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as chairman of its Caribbean subsidiary, Airline Reporting Services Corporation (ARSC), retired from Delta 25 years later on December 31, 1994 and maintained an active membership in Skal International Puerto Rico.

During retirement, in 2004 received the accolade of Knighthood in the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem and in 2010 was admitted into the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, a serving order of chivalry under the British Crown, the honor of which is bestowed by warrant of its Sovereign Head, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll

In March 2012 Sir Clive was nominated for a Papal Knighthood which was sent to the Vatican for formal ratification by Pope Benedict XVl and the investiture conferring the accolade of Knighthood was held on April 22, 2012 and a record was inscribed in the Office of the Cardinal Secretary of State of the Vatican.
